Discover the Future of Spa: Highlights from ISPA 2026

At ISPA 2026, held March 31 – April 2 at The Venetian Expo Center in Las Vegas, the theme was clear: Discover the Future of Spa. And what an inspiring, energizing few days it was.

Renew.calm Spa owner and esthetician, Dawn Nooney, was proud to once again represent Nelly De Vuyst skincare on the trade show floor—a brand both our estheticians and guests truly adore.

A Gathering of Industry Leaders

This year’s International SPA conference brought together more than 2,300 spa leaders from across North America and beyond. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow spa owners, managers, and directors—sharing ideas, insights, and a collective passion for wellness.

Beyond networking, the event showcased exciting new products, innovations, and technologies that we’re eager to explore and potentially bring back to our Renew.calm clients.

The State of the Spa Industry

Each year, the International Spa Association surveys its members to better understand the health of the industry. The 2026 “Big 5 Statistics” painted a powerful picture:

  • The spa industry experienced 4% growth in revenue, visits, locations, and revenue per visit

  • Average revenue exceeded $1 million per location

  • The industry now employs over 377,000 professionals

Perhaps most importantly, these findings reinforced something we see every day: in times of global uncertainty, spas serve as a much-needed refuge for rest, healing, and connection.

Inspiring Daily Power Sessions

Each morning began with a keynote “Power Session” designed to motivate and challenge attendees:

Day 1: Diana Kander – Unleash Your Curiosity
A powerful reminder to stay open, ask questions, and continuously evolve in both business and life.

Day 2: Jay Shetty – 4 Habits to Change Your Life
Jay shared four simple yet transformative practices:

  • Thankfulness

  • Insight

  • Mindfulness

  • Exercise

He also offered a grounding technique to return to the present moment:

  • 5 things you can see

  • 4 things you can touch

  • 3 things you can hear

  • 2 things you can smell

  • 1 thing you can taste

Day 3: Jon Acuff – Master Your Mindset
Jon’s message hit home in a deeply personal way. He spoke about the “soundtracks” we play in our minds—those repetitive thoughts that can either empower or limit us.

If a thought is negative, he encourages asking three simple questions:

  • Is it true?

  • Is it helpful?

  • Is it kind?

Dawn even had the chance to read his book, Soundtracks, on the flight home—a meaningful way to continue the learning beyond the conference.
